Peter is experienced in the Superyacht sector, having served on such vessels as Master, Engineer and Engineering Supervisor with both a sea going and shore based background in yachts up to 140m in length.
He has had numerous assignments as Captain, Engineer or Consultant on a range of yachts and commercial craft in Europe, Africa, Caribbean, Canadian and American Waters.
In the role of Engineering Supervisor he has overseen engine and generator repairs, re-builds and new installations. He has supervised the complete overhaul, refit, update and commissioning of all types of ship’s systems.
More recently he has taken specialist roles as Electro-Technical Officer. Recent projects have included the complete AV/IT & coms refit of a 70m Lürssen and the rebuild of the IT systems on a 67m Expedition Yacht. Prior to that he was Technical Services Director of a shore based marine engineering company working on large yachts and commercial vessels.
Peter joined MTD in 2016 and based in the Algarve, has been involved in the investigation of claims involving superyachts and other commercial vessels.
