Michael Kromdijk holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry, having studied at Avans University at Breda, The Netherlands [2003-2006]. Following his graduation, Michael joined a major inspection company, starting as Laboratory Service Engineer & Quality Chemist, which included developing new analysis methods and the integration of a new quality system.
His next role was as Quality Coordinator for the Rotterdam and Amsterdam laboratories, which included internal auditing, before progressing to the operational supervisor of the laboratories and then Process and Quality Manager of the Netherlands. In the latter role, Michael was responsible for the quality and processes within the organisation, such as external audits from clients including oil majors and certification bodies, dealing with complaints and claims. Michael had ten years experience in the oil and gas industry before joining MTD.
Since joining MTD in January 2016, Michael has been involved in the forensic investigation of quality claims relating to a variety of different bulk liquid petroleum and petrochemical cargoes.
