Rob’s first degree was in microbiology and this was followed by a PhD in environmental microbiology. Following a period undertaking post-doctoral research in the USA, Rob joined one of the first environmental biotechnology companies to be established in Europe. He had responsibility for equipping and running a dedicated analytical support facility in addition to developing and commercializing environmental technologies.
Rob joined MTD in 1992 and originally had responsibility for the management of MTD’s analytical and environmental service division. During this time, he led the development and application of DNA based technologies that have been applied in the retail, environmental and petroleum sectors.
Rob joined MTD’s consultancy team in 2010 and, since then, has undertaken investigations into claims in the chemical, oil, pharmaceutical, bulk solid and agricultural product sectors. Rob has travelled worldwide investigating incidents for a wide variety of clients and has experience of providing expert testimony in arbitrations and legal proceedings.
